Something interesting...
(glued on dollar bill folded into bow tie)
The idea that one dollar - in the big sea of one dollar bills - can be transformed from it’s greed-inspiring, worthless except to buy sweet candies, faded green state into a majestical bow tie. Is there a better way to honor George Washington than to center him in a bow tie? If everybody kept a bow tie with a picture of a famous person in the back of his or her mind, reminding him or her to always do good, would the world be where it is today? Would it?
Those questions are not for us to answer - perhaps they can not even be answered today, or tomorrow. It remains in hope that we can find the perfect state, that we can make peace with our own "bow ties," that humanity might find the bow tie of existence.
It is easy to dismiss a lowly dollar bill when one has a hundred or billion dollar bill. But with the transformation of that one dollar into a bow tie, the dollar enters the realm of things that even triple platinum magnesium copper Mastercard™ can’t buy.
In closing, I ask that you take your hand off
your wallet, let some money into the world - money is worth more than itself.
Put it into art or music or innovation. And if you can’t help the
world, fold it into a bow tie - for this way at least its not going to
waste.
