Bonnie Mrs. Roehl's Room
Twas nigh a month afore Martinmas time
A jolly ol' time indeed.
The hurdy-gurdy was oft' played
And all got their share of mead.
Joviality was a plenty
'Specially in Bonnie Mrs. Roehl's Room.
Stoic was the plastic tree,
Though little was it known, near was its doom.
Mrs. Roehl, she did preside
O'er the students a'plenty
Troublemakers there did abound
Although students good, there were a'twenty.
Rabble rousers there did flourish
Attempting to finde their fame,
Sam, Pip and Keith to name a few
But gentle James always received the blame.
The blissful twenty did maken melodye
But the fake tree did menace our room
Then one day, the rabble rousers did strike
Banishing the tree to the cabinet, its doom.
When Mrs. Roehl entered her bonnie domain
The new residence of the tree she did observe
Sam, Pip and Keith chortled to themselves
As Mrs. Roehl cried, "James, what gave you the
nerve?!"
The villains increased in ardor
No!! They did not repent,
They continued their nasty deeds
Until Mrs. Roehl's patience was spent.
The mischief proved to be unending
James was wont to flee to Haiti
'Specially when he was blamed
For Mrs. Roehl's desk executing a 180?
One fateful day, when Mrs. Roehl did take her
leave
>From every shires
ende,
The furniture and finishings of the room
To the hallway they wende.
When Mrs. Roehl did make her return
To find her room turned inside out
To our innocent periwinkle-babe she did turn
And blameful prose didst she spout.
While Mrs. Roehl did make the students tend to
the hussyfskap
James bowed his head in sorrow,
With a tear in his eye, he did leave the students
to their booty
He raised his sorrowful head and spake, "I shant
be seen tomorrow."
Yea were the students steeped in melancholye
And their hearts were filled with shame
Their tears did fall with great abundance
When anyone dared utter poor bonny James' name.
